Post-Tornado Sky

This picture was taken a day after tornados ripped through Nebraska. We saw a few overturned pieces of farm equipment, broken billboards and several uprooted trees.

Other than that, the grass was green, the clouds were snowy white and the sky a brilliant blue; mocking the fury of the sky that took place less than twelve hours before.

Such gorgeous colors. So hard to believe what was happening there just hours before.

There's something eerie about the beauty of nature after a terrible storm. I remember after the hurricanes that tore through Central Florida a few years ago, the weather would be just beautiful. Almost totally denying Mother Nature's relentless fury just hours before. I recall looking at that vibrant post-storm beauty & feeling almost suspicious...

This is a spectacular photo, Salena. Multiple lateral lines, different colors, serene pastoral setting. Remarkable.
